A Rainbow of Best Wishes

Here is an absolutely beautiful rainbow sent all the way from Paris to my Mom from my sweet friend Lucile.

Here is a stunning double rainbow sent to my Mom by my fellow artist Julie who lives in England.  This particular photo was taken in Burnsall in the Yorkshire Dales. Julie lives in Wakefield which is not very far from where my Mom's great-great-grandfather lived (in Howden). I think that's kind of cool!

And here's a beautiful quote I found:

Courage is like love; it must have hope for nourishment.
Napoleon Bonaparte

If you have a photo or picture of a rainbow* that you would like me to share with my Mom, I will post it here. You can send it to me at kathleenmaunder at

*I would just ask that it be an image that belongs to you.

  1. Thank you Kathy. Rainbows are wonderful messages but they are impossible without a little rain. Rainbows are beautiful but then so are you.

  2. Mom--Thanks. Now, you've got me crying. But you're right about rain & rainbows--you need one to have the other. Thinking about you and thankful that you are my mom.

  3. So lovely...
I will look in my files for a rainbow over my gardens...
    Happy December,

  4. Sherry--Thanks--that is very kind of you.

  5. Great to know this french rainbow is in the canadian sky right now :)
The photo was taken in an island, l'Ile d'Yeu, it is not raining that much there and the sun always comes back ;)

  6. Lucile--For someone who says she doesn't write well in English, you sure know how to pick the right words.♥

  7. mail for you in a few minutes..

    kisses from Brittany !

  8. Emilie--Merci! So kind of you and such pretty photos. I will post them in the next day.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my blog and to leave me a comment. I love reading them. -- Kathleen
