Signs of Spring

Do you know how you can tell if I've been working on prints for my Etsy shop?  Well, I tend to be as grumpy as a bear and I uncharacteristically growl the odd four-letter word. I take Meeko for his walks while trying to ease my tense muscles and muttering aloud about throwing my computer and printer into the garbage. The past few days have been full of many ups and downs including a rebel green phase that my printer decided to go through at about noon today. Literally everything that it spit out was tinged with green. Everything.  I decided that it needed a nap and I needed a walk and that seemed to do the trick.

How do I feel when my machines have finally cooperated and my new prints are finished and up to my high standards? Relieved and happy!

How can you tell if I'm looking forward to spring? Every single print I added to my Etsy shop today included flowers! Yesterday I saw five robins at one time in our tree in the backyard. I'm not certain if it was a sure sign of spring or of mass avian confusion but it was a splendid, unusual sight to see.

Technology willing, I will have more new prints in my shop later this week. :)

  2. OMG! Kathleen! Those look gorgeous! I so love that little ladybug in the circle. So good!
I have a little thing for pansies as well. I did one last year and called it "Grandma's flower" because I remember her planting them in the planters in front of her house. Yours are so pretty and I really like how you framed them in the four squares!
    Bravo!
All of the hair pulling was worth it! LOL! (Darn technology!)

    1. Thanks so much Jody. I painted that ladybug a long time ago but still like it. That doesn't always happen.

Pansies are always associated with my grandmother too! :)

  3. There are so days like these ... (sometimes weeks too ... ahem)
Like Jody, I love the circle print with the ladybug. But the pansies are very cool too, so realistic !
Here's to a better middle of the week, technology speaking !

  5. It's funny how these things need a nap? It does do the trick?? I love your colours in these new florals, I've never found pansies that easy to paint, it's all that detail I think? But yours look nice and fresh! :)

    1. The nap did the trick this time. No guarantee it will work next time! :) Thanks, Julie, for the compliment on my pansies. I love painting them. BTW you do lovely floral paintings (those roses!)

  6. People often mutter that one day computers will rule the world. I'm telling you that day is well and truly here already! When technology goes bad, so does your day.

I think those prints are looking gorgeous Kathleen, off to look at your Etsy shop right now!

And BTW, I am officially off the Google warnings list now! Hooray!

  7. STUNNING pieces on Etsy Kathleen - you must be so pleased at how they turned out, rogue scanner and all!

And I can't seem to comment at all on IE. Mozilla is the only place that lets me "see" the comment box after I hit preview/publish. It disappears entirely in IE.

    1. Thanks very much Cindy for the positive support of my work. I really appreciate it.

What a rotten week you've had with your website/computer/server problems. Glad that you are back on track.

I'm sorry you've had difficulty commenting. I actually don't use IE anymore at all as it was constantly causing problems for me. I use Google or Firefox. I think I can switch the format of the comments that might help but then I would lose the reply feature which I am really enjoying (being able to reply under each comment).
