The fallen tree looked like some sort of forest creature. |
Last week, the little forest where I walk with Meeko was magical. Every single tiny branch was covered with snow. I don't think the photos do justice to how very special it was. And I was very lucky as the sun peeked out from behind the clouds just as I started taking photos, so there were beautiful shadows on the snow.
If there are snow fairies (and why wouldn't there be?), this is without a doubt where they live.
Love it when the snow looks like that! The magic doesn't last, so it's lovely you had a chance to capture a bit of it! Thanks for sharing, Kathleen! :)
ReplyDeleteI know. I didn't have my camera initially and had to drop ChloƩ off somewhere before I could go back. The whole time I was saying to myself 'please still be there, please still be there' and it was. I was very lucky.
DeleteI agree - they must live there! :-)
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteOh Kathleen, they sure live in your neck of the wood, and not in mine LOL
ReplyDeleteThank you for the dose of magic, just what I needed, really.
xoxo to you & Meeko sweetheart
I'm sure you have fairies of another kind. A big kiss from Meeko.
DeleteHaving only seen snow very very briefly on my last visit to the U.S. (over a decade ago), these photos are a real treat. I never thought snow could collect on the sides of trees like that. Just beatiful!
ReplyDeleteStill stinking hot down here, with a cat4 cyclone on the way, ho hum....
Stay cool and safe, Cindy!
DeleteNow it makes sense why the snow always looks twinkly when the sun comes out, snow fairy dust! I can see them flitting about in teeny little colorful hats and wooly striped socks... :)))))) Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Melody! Love your description of the fairies. I think you've seen them!
DeleteBeautiful photos Kathleen! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Annamaria!
Deletei think you captured their magical home beautifully
