Today, I woke to a magical world covered in sparkly frost. I put on my coat and boots and grabbed my camera. Wouldn't you know it? There was a warning flashing that the battery was low. I managed to get three photos before it shut down on me.
I couldn't get over how pretty everything was and couldn't stop talking about it. Finally, Emma says to me, 'I don't like frost. It's just leftover cold'. Magic squasher!

i miss winter and do so hope she returns to these parts
ReplyDeleteI hope she returns for you too. :)
DeleteMagic for sure! Just last month I bought myself an extra battery for my camera for those kinds of situations, you should consider getting one and carry it with you when you go outside so we don't have to miss your lovely photos ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Geninne! :) I was just saying the same thing here this morning.
DeleteBeautiful, Kathleen.
ReplyDeleteIs that called "hoar frost"?
You should go to your closest Henry's camera store and check out their battery plan. It may be worth looking into!
Thanks Jody. That's the name! I don't think we have Henry's in Quebec but I am definitely getting an extra battery. :)
DeleteIt is actually magic to me (and I know you know that eheh)
ReplyDeleteWe're having a cold wave (-5.5°C at 8am is very cold for us !) so winter's definitely here for us now !
When I came to Canada, I had recently bought my camera, but I knew I'd be taking many photos & bought an extra battery. I have never regretted this purchase.
Have a great week, Kathleen

Glad to know it's not just me that believes in magic. :) Hope you get some of the pretty stuff (snow, frost)to go along with the cold! xx
DeleteThat is very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your always so kind comments, I appreciate them a LOT! :-)
Thank you Tina. If only you could have seen the photos I was about to take around the corner... :)
DeleteYou are welcome. I feel the same way about the comments you leave here.
Lovely sunny snowy photos, I have some too!!! Snowed here on Sat eve. I charged my camera battery up in preperation for this snow coming, neh neh, smarty pants me.....then forgot to take the camera on Sunday to the woods :( We saw deer, and it was so pretty, Oh well, I did get some sunny shots.
ReplyDeleteYou know, of course, Julie that if you'd had your camera, the deer wouldn't have been there. :)
